Thanks to the outstanding technological expertise of our R&D staff, Sequoia IT has the capacity to develop customized solutions that optimally meet individual customer requirements. These solutions can include hardware that allows you to use proprietary sensors under specific ambient conditions, firmware for specific signal processing by special order, and software with an interface that meets specific user requirements.

SeTAC Can Bus

This device is a special version of SeTAC that transmits onboard-sensor vibration data, in particular velocity vector RMS and triaxial acceleration spikes, directly to the CAN bus. This solution especially implements the J1939 protocol. The CAN bus is a digital-data communication protocol that was originally developed for the automotive industry, to facilitate information exchange between various sensors of the vehicle. This protocol is now used as well in other sectors such as aeronautics and industrial automation.

FastTracer with coiled cable

A simple modification of the cable made FastTracer easy to use in an automatic test bench for controlling valve quality. The customer was already satisfied with the features of FastTracer as a vibration analyzer, and the options afforded by the PA version for programming and integrating the solution, and therefore wished to be able to measure vibrations in a more complex measuring system that also contained other types of controls. However, for the test bench the sensors had to have the capacity to be automatically moved to the defined measuring point without difficulty. The standard FastTracer cable impeded such automatic movements, prompting us as a result to develop a special coiled cable for this customer.


This special version of SeTAC is a simple vibration monitoring system for small-size blades. The basic SeTAC functionalities were ideal for this purpose: onboard processing capacity for vibration signals and their analyses; the capacity to record key events and generate alerts via a relay that can shut down wind turbines in the event of excessive vibration. This is particularly necessary for wind turbines in cases where high winds could potentially trigger resonance events in the wind turbine. However, SeTAC standard lacks the necessary electromagnetic compatibility and resistance to lightning. In order to meet the customer’s requirements, we developed a special version of SeTAC featuring enclosures made of plastic, which is more resistant, and cables with higher EMC.

FastTracer HT

This version of FastTracer was developed specially for vibration monitoring of high-power generators. The customer asked us to develop simple software that would be user friendly for non-expert operators. To this end, the software helps users to determine the correct measuring points and automatically do the required analyses, and provides them with predefined acceptability values. In terms of hardware, the customer needed a sensor that can withstand the high temperatures in their generators. To achieve that, we first developed a version of the FT Analyzer that analyzes vibrations in line with the customer’s specifications, and then adapted the hardware by providing it with a special cable that is resistant to high temperatures, and made adjustments to the magnetic mounting support.
